You sure it’s only 50 years? I could’ve sworn it was at least 60 by now.

Very interesting as far as anniversary editions go. Not limited to a trim level , but limited production is an odd choice.

I just made that joke to our inventory manager. I guess we have a Gold Rush Scat Pack Wide Body coming in.

I’m pretty sure the Allies used one at Normandy.

I think what I was looking at a while back suggested that the bellhousing pattern for a Viper might actually mostly match up with, say, a ‘58 Imperial. Which seems like an interesting idea.

Wait, didn’t George Washington have one as well? I think I heard about it in a commercial once.

Kinja'd!!!

All of my features in one vehicle finally:

Scat Pack

F8 Green (although that Sinamon Stick color is pretty too)

Widebody

Manual Trans

Shaker Hood

Harmon Kardon Audio

I like those 50th Anniv. wheels more than the standard widebody wheels

NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED

That’s a hefty price for a heft car.

Hefty-heft-hefty

Yeah, it was that particular car that inspired the Dodge brothers to start the company.

That’s not so farfetched, the 727 was built starting in 1956, I think it you could have probably optioned an Imperial with one. It lived on through the 90's as the 42RH/RE, where it was bolted to the LA engines, which the V10 is a derivative of. Sure, they could have changed the bellhousing between the poly’s and the LA’s, but I’d rate it as plausible .

This is going off of my very limited memory of what I looked at, but I think the difference was literally down to just locating dowels - that the bellhousing pattern itself was “different but actually not”.

It wasn’t actually a poly in the ‘58 Imperial, I think, but an Early Hemi. Which did have a different bellhousing pattern in the industrial version, but that’s getting off-topic.
